Why is the website asking for my location?

Google Maps uses this information in order to show you the proper search radius for your directory search. It allows you to click the location icon in the search bar to tell the map where you are currently and calculate how far other businesses are from your location.

Alternatively, you can deny the site access to your location and enter your address manually. This will not affect your use of the site, however the location icon in the search bar will not function.

This information is used solely for the Google Maps functionality. You can read more at Google’s Privacy Policy. Again, if you do not wish to share your location with Google, simply deny the request and enter your address manually in the search bar.
